Welcome! You've found my web journal, where
I talk about my life as a stay-at-home mom and entrepreneur. When I'm not chasing my four boys around, I'm hard at work running my company,
The Farm Chicks, writing books, and working as a contributing editor for Country Living Magazine.
I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world, and
I'm happy to share my stories and ideas with you.
My name is Serena, and I'm so happy you're here.
P.S. I love hearing from you! Feel free to drop me a note anytime!

I loved this one! I always force lots of amaryllis and prefer to do it in water. This is just a really cool idea.

Oh yes. I will do this. I have a hundred plastic water bottles that need reusing (rather than just boring recycling) and I already have half a dozen funnels for the birdseed.
So cool! Thank you!

This is a fab idea for giving those water bottles another spin around the block!

Oh my land! I'm supposed to be grading essays and instead I started reading back through farmchick posts. This is way more fun! Ahh...off to put "Laura and Mary" to bed. They're reading in the living room--by candlelight for the pioneer effect. Who's children are they, anyway?
Rock on.

Girls I just loved this idea when I saw it in the mag. So simple and so useful!
The title of the segment got me, too - reminds me of my very favorite book as a child:'Make and Do' was one of the twelve Childcraft volumes. My copy was dogeared!!!
