I love feeling happy, so my office nook needs to look that way and be organized at the same time.
I use a lot of clear storage boxes to hold my supplies, but didn't like seeing through to the contents. So, I just lined each one with some dotty wrapping paper. On the shelf below, Ikea magazine files keep my magazines tidy:
Business cards:
A painting of downtown Spokane, by my favorite artist, Chris:
Sweet little clutches by my friend, Jennifer Paganelli. I use them for my coupons:
My pin cushions were actually Martha Stewart Christmas ornaments from a couple of years ago. I just cut off the hangers:
Tacks from one of my FAVORITE stores ever - the Japanese dollar store in Seattle. The gingham CD organizers and stack of colorful journals shown above were found there as well.
The HOORAY card shown above is from the lovely Elum Designs. The Big Boy figurine is from Kitschy Kitschy Koo, a vendor at the show. All of the tins are from Michael's.
I Love, Love, Love all the colors! I am first in line, if you would like to ever do an office re-do! Anytime :)
Love the tacks. I will be sure to check that out next time I go to Seattle! Those are awesome.
Thanks for sharing your ideas :) Happy new year!

There is nothing better than a good $1 store! We used to use one in Kansas..Dollar General. I used to decorate out of that store...wish I could come to yours. Yet another reason to come to your show :)

I love all of your pretty organizing. There is something about January that always makes me want to reorganize, buy new plants, new air fresheners, and find new ways to store things. What a fun post!

Nothing cuter and happier than a well organized colorful space. Love Daiso too...I try and hit it whenever I head up to Seattle. I love all their little cupcake/tart papers - great patterns.

Daiso is always a favorite stop when I visit the closest city that has one---in my case 12 hours away! The pushpins are fun and grace my bulletin board too.
I am so intrigued by your business card, so clever and so wonderful.

How fun and cheerful! What a happy place to work.
I so love your business cards. They were sitting out a few weeks ago and my 3 year old started playing with them. She wouldn't give them back to me for a few days.
Happy new year ...

Love the Bob's Big Boy. I think that is a piggy bank? I have one very similar. Miss the restaurants too. Just found out about your blog and lovin' it!

Hi Bob! I see she's feeding you well. *wink*
He looks very happy! As does everything else. You must LOVE to work!
I think my biggest joy in organizing is when it all looks so cool together. I have a black, white & pink scheme in my craft room, and it's so fun when I stumble across things that I know will coordinate with that space. There's something soothing about the unity of it all and it lets me focus on creating instead of "Oh my gosh, where is this or that", or being surrounded by visual chaos.

I love all that white... so soothing. Thanks for posting; the home is lovely (and I'm kind of an old house snob!).
