I buy a lot of vintage linens and really love retro prints. I love the big flowery prints because they're perfect for making plain tank tops look cute.
Start with a plain tank top, fusible iron-on web, and your choice of
fabric for embellishing.
Directions:
1.) Cut out fabric and fusible web for embellishing.
2.) Fuse onto tank following instructions provided with the fusible web.
You're done!
This is very useful - I have a T-shirt with a little mark on it, and I was trying to work out how best to 'up-cycle' it! Thanks.

Great color combination! I love fusible web...what could be easier (ok, maybe a glue-gun but we're talking clothing here!)?! I have lots of t's and tanks that need updating, time to add some color! Hmmm...maybe a splash of color on some of last years capris too???
Thanks for the idea!

I'm showing this to my daughter, a.k.a. the queen of tank tops (she wears them 365 days a year and I live in Chicago!).
Visiting via Kimba's blog - waving Hi to you and thanking you for the GREAT post.
