I've been collecting original paintings for a few years now and love when I find ones depicting old farms.
I found this one while doing a book signing at my friend's antique shop (Forget-me-Not) in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. One of my favorite things to do after buying a painting is to find out about the artist.
And although I haven't found anything on this particular artist yet, the real fun is getting to see the artist's vision on my wall every day.

Love that painting! I've been collecting farmhouse paintings for a couple years now and have about 8 that I love! All mine have the common theme of a red building or roof though which is a favorite color of mine :0) Thanks for sharing! Blessings, Katy

Beautiful. I love seeing other people's collections. I seem to have so many and quite a few of my friends have none! I can hardly imagine! Thank you for sharing. How wonderful if you were to find information on the artist.

I love art but my taste always seem to be a mix of everything. How lovely that you collect paintings of farms. Mine would probably go better together with a theme.

I will have to post mine for you...I got one on ebay for 1.99. It makes me so happy everytime I look at it.
Living among the farms just makes me smile and relax a little more.
Take care of yourself

Well, you just never know. Someday we'll turn on Antiques Roadshow and there you'll be. With your mouth in a surprised "O", telling one of the Keno twins that you "just can't believe it." And we'll all say that we knew you back when you innocently thought it was just a nice picture.

Beautiful!
I, too, love obtaining old original art. I kills me to find them in thrift stores for next to no cost. Their loss is my gain, right, though?

It's gorgeous! What a treasure. The colors are wonderful. I'm crazy about all kinds of art (and consider lots of 'non art' to be art), but there's something really special about old oil paintings. Congratulations on your fabulous find! :)
