It's going to be 80 degrees in Spokane today. The perfect weather for Mintade!
1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice, strained
1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice, strained
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice, strained
6 cups icy cold water
1 cup fine granulated sugar*
1 cup fresh mint leaves, torn
lots of ice
Combine juices and water in a pitcher. Stir in sugar, until dissolved. Stir in mint leaves, smashing leaves with spoon to release mint oil. Pour into ice-filled glasses.
*I like to use fine granulated sugar, however regular sugar works okay too. It will just take a little longer to dissolve. You may enjoy using more or less sugar, depending on your taste.

Add in a splash of rum (maybe not this early in the morning) and I'm sold! ;-) Looks yummy.

Yum! It was nice and warm here on the west side of the state yesterday, mintade would have been so good! Even with clouds today, may have to make it anyway.

Have you tried Lavender syrup in your lemonade, it is so good, I found it at Cash and Carry, it is made by Monin. Enjoy. Florence

We like to boil up a batch of mint syrup to have on hand for apecial occasions and warm weather - use one to one of sugar and water - bring to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved. Take off the stove - add a hefty handful of mint leaves and let steep for 30 mins or so. Pour into an airtight container and refrigerate. It not only is yummy but smells delicious!
Cheers

This sounds so tasty and perfect for our hot desert summers.
I've been wondering how Colleen and Teresa's husbands are doing. You mentioned them back in January, and I added them to my prayer journal. I'm not sure if I missed an update, but was just wondering about them. I've been praying.
Blessings,
Marcia

This sounds so refreshing. I will have to wait for a warmer day though -- today it was back to "chilly" here in Coeur d'Alene. I should have tried this out this past weekend when it was so nice and warm.

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.
