What's cuter than cupcakes? Donut Cupcakes!
It all started at Carolyn's when I spotted this most darling little pan:
Wouldn't these make the most special little Valentine or anytime treats?!, I thought. So, I whipped up a batch of my favorite mini cupcake batter and baked them up in my new pan.
Next, I prepared the perfect Cupcake Glaze:
Cupcake Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
6-7 tablespoons cream
1 drop food coloring
Whisk together until smooth. If necessary, add more cream to reach desired consistency. Then it was just dip and sprinkle, dip and sprinkle:
Donut Cupcakes are F-U-N! ...
Donut Cupcakes are *Sweet*... Donut Cupcakes are the perfect Valentine treat!
But what if you don't have a little donut pan? It's Mini Cupcakes to the rescue!
And *good news* ... they're just as tasty!

I bought my donut pan at Carolyn's in Spokane. A sweet little mom and pop shop. Carolyn's does ship, so if you want a pan for yourself, you can call Carolyn's and they'll take your order. And then you're supporting mom and pop. And nothing can be better than that. Carolyns: 509-489-3631

Someone at my church made a whole platter of these mini cupcake donuts for our Easter brunch. They were all decorated differently to look like different varieties of donuts you might get from a donut shop. I do love the pink with white nonpareils though-simple yet so pretty!

Hello,
Can anyone please tell me what type of cream you put in the cupcake glaze.
I know it is probably a dumb question but, I really would love to make these. Thank you!

Susan,
It's plain whipping cream, the type you use to make whipped cream.

Hi Serena,
I am so thankful you took the time to answer my question! I love your blog and I have been dying to sit and write you a letter. I am a stay at home mommy to 5 little boys (my oldest is 6, I have a set of triplets that are 3, and a 1 year old). I love your books and everything FARM CHICKS! You give me a lot of inspiration that I can still have cute girly things even though I have a house full of men. I live in CA and am so bummed we can't purchase from your cute website anymore. I wish you the best and thank you again!
