Floral fashion (English roses, especially) is the big trend this year. You're going to see it everywhere. But floral and fashion can go wrong quickly if you're not careful. You don't want to look like grandma's comforter, do you? The key is to not overdo it. Just a touch of floral here and there. Here are some of my favorites:

Wish they would of had those oxfords when I was in grade school! Although our Catholic school probably wouldn't of let us wear them. Ours had to be all white and polished! Now I'm telling my age! Love the rest of the things too. May have to look up that purse!
Have a good day,
Laurie

All cute! (I wore a pair of those shoes straight out of my grandpa's antique stock room at Latah Merchantile) when I was a little girl and needed shoes. I *wish* I had them today! Loving the florals---helps remind me that spring will come!

Loving those shoes!! And I think I am going to have to buy that bag!!!
What's more perfect? I have a few items that are very similar to these, so while I'm ahead of the curve, I also get to be trendy! lol

Thanks! Love that Aldo bag but can't find it yet. My daughter did a blog post all about this for Claire's in December. I've been so excited! I am a big floral freak and love years like this when I can stock up on cute floral finds! Pantones color of the year is also a honeysuckle pink, which is another bonus as I am an even bigger pink lover! Thanks!

The floral boots by Doc Martin from the same site float my boat. Too bad Im 30 years too old to wear them. Now the purse is a possiblity... Sucks being middle aged.

I'm glad the "floral" look is in! I'm so excited for REAL flowers that I would jump for joy and over the moon to see Spring NOW!
I've noticed some flower buds in my flower beds - YES, 2nd week of Feb. (in The Pacific Northwest). Come visit me at http://www.countrycottageliving.com and see my BUDS...
Serena, I know the crazy HAPPINESS that comes with progress in the new house and that feeling like I don't want to look anymore till it's all done. When we built 7 years ago, it was such a dream. I'm happy for you!
Bye for Now, Melanie
