All of the windows and doors are all trimmed out and waiting for a coat of paint. I'm so happy with how they turned out.
The window sills of the kitchen windows aren't in yet. I decided to have them done in the stone that is the same as the kitchen countertops. I really like the thought of having sills that can take a licking and keep on ticking, like water from the sink splashing up whenever I use the sink. And in the winter, I can grow potted herbs there and not worry about destroying the sill.
The doors are getting painted and should be set back into place soon.
The tile continues to be installed and the cabinets are coming soon. It's all coming together nicely.

Gorgeous windows! That's similar to the design I'd like to have in my living room, as opposed to a large picture window, but that's what we put in ten years ago before moving in (remodel). One day, when everything else is caught up we'll replace windows again and do it differently.
I'm just now starting to work on the kitchen sills for our house. That remodel job has taken a long time due to financial setbacks and layoffs, but we're getting there.
That's a fabulous idea using the countertop material for sills!

hello.
today i was showing my husband something i loved out of my september issue of Country Living mag. i saw the "farm chicks" and said "that's the gal building that house on green bluff next to our property!" we currently live in colorado, but visit spokane about 6 times a year and always always, take a drive onto our property, check out the peach trees and say thanks to farmer Seymor for looking after our property while we are away. we noticed a house that was being built, and wondered who our future neighbors would be. now i know! we plan on moving back to spokane in the next 2-3 years!
good luck with the house. sorry this message was a lengthy one. i hope you don't mind if i peek in on your blog every once in awhile, it's such a cool one. definitely excited to try out some of those donut ideas.
