Yvonne (of Yvestown) recently posted about her bee house. I really love the concept.
And it's got me buzzing about all that I want to do in my new garden.
How is your garden coming along?

Hubby has tomatoes, cukes, squash and pepper in the garden. They are growing nicely here in south Georgia. Looking good! Can't wait for some fresh veggies.

We are starting a LARGE garden for the first time(fingers crossed) tomatoes, cukes, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, blueberries, raspberries(wild) and herbs. By the end of the month we will also start raising chickens for eggs...all in the notion to teach our children where food comes from...say a prayer!

Isn't a blank slate the most beautiful way to start your dream garden? I've helped bring the bees and hummers back to our little 1/3 of an acre near Sea-Tac. Lots of lavender planted strategically in many corners of the yard, so that the bees have to stop along the veggie garden, the fruit trees, the berries. We've just finished our chicken ark, the peas, chamomile, and mesclun are leafing out...life in Western WA is good!
And, this is the second day of sunshine here in a long time--we'll be sending it your way soon!!
Happy planning (and getting dirt under your fingernails!)

LOVE it!! We just added a mason bee home of our own! We used the little paper tubes so that we could swap them out super easy and prevent mites and creepy crawlies like that :) I love this idea and could have saved myself $35 if i'd thought of it haha
I LOVE your blog and can't wait to see more of the new house! Lots of Love
