I've been out in the garden every evening, watching the sun slowly cast a ruby glow over the pumpkin fields before softly slipping away for the night.
The air feels smooth and dreamlike.
Tonight I gathered a bunch of blushing beets.
My harvest inspires me. The textures. The colors. The bounty.
Summer's last stand.

Those are looking good!
We haven't had much of a summer this year, so our harvest isn't as bountiful.
Looking forward to seeing what you make with those beets!

I'm not a huge fan of beets... but the colors of the plants are lovely, aren't they? :-) I was outside around 6 this morning here in SC and you can tell from the morning air that Fall is on the way...

I keep hearing about the change in the air. Will someone please inform Florida? LOL!
Your beets look so good! We are getting ready for our Fall garden here. It's the best time to grow veggies in Florida!
Have a lovely day!

You should bbq those. We wrap them in foil, sprinkle ' em with a little olive oil and a dash of Montreal Steak seasoning, and cook 'em on the top rack. Deeelicious. But don't be scared when the next day, there is "evidence" of what you ate. Ahem.

Your beets look awesome! We have not had much rain in our part of Tennessee so our garden is not producing a whole lot!

Your beets look awesome! We have not had a whole lot of rain here in the Nashville area so our garden isn't producing a whole lot right now!
