Hello my friend. It seems like it's been ages. I'm usually talking to you several times a week. Truth is, I've been experiencing some complications from my surgery and have needed to take it easy for a while.
Last year was one of the hardest years of my life. But somehow, I had so much strength and we all made it through. Like a charm. Now 2012 is here and I'm ready to just look forward. I really love that. The future.
Today is Colin's birthday. For a surprise, I finally decorated his home office. We did the big reveal last night. It was so much fun because he had no idea. I think he loved it but just to be sure, I kept going in there and turning on the lights. That way, every time he walked by, he could notice it again. :)
Tonight we're going on a birthday date and then to watch Cody and his band performing. I love date night so much.
And then it's the weekend. I'm going to be baking and baking and baking. All with Valentines day in mind. I'll make sure to share with you soon.
Love,
me
Colin - the coolest dad in the world.
P.S. I always wondered what it'd be like to have a daughter who I'd share clothes with someday. As fate would have it, I had four boys whom I adore. And now, they share skateboarding shoes with their dad.
That is your husband skating! Who knew! He rocks! Happy Birthday! Have a wonderful weekend. Take Care Serena. xo-

Some years are like that. 2011 was a horrible year,so I was really looking forward to 2012. So far so good!!
Hope you're on the final road to recovery, healing takes so much time! And as women, we think we should be able to do it all, handle it all. Sometimes God just says "rest"!
Hope you'll be showing us pictures of the office soon! And I look forward to your Valentine posts!!!
Enjoy the day!

Your husband is the coolest!!! I wish mine would get out and be a kid sometimes. I am thinking our problem is that we have two girls, but we do have a little man on the way so maybe that will change things a little. Happy Birthday to your husband.

Hi Serena,
I hope that you feel better soon...I'm sorry to hear about your complications with the surgery. Yes, 2011 was one of the hardest years of my life too and I look forward to a fresh start this year... just not sure where to start :)
Happy Birthday to Colin! Have a great weekend,
Kristen
P.S. With the returning vendor deadline for the show approaching, I can hardly stand to think that I won't be able to in the show (aka - the highlight of my year). I'm going to miss it terribly :(

Hope you recover quickly and finally! For what it's worth, I don't "share" clothes with my daughter. She "borrows" mine and I never see them again. Pretty sure I did the same thing to my mom. Not all it's cracked up to be!

I love when fathers and sons share those adventurous capers together. My boys get to snowboard with their dad and I think it is great.
