We headed to the mountains in search of some huckleberries and inspiration. The air is cooler here and the silence different than anywhere else.
The snap of a twig. A gurgling stream. Hidden paths of dreams.
Sunlight dapples. Huckleberries are found.
Inspiration abounds.

We're up to 18 gallons so far for the year! They're getting soft in the heat though, so I think we're about done. So nice to see other families that enjoy picking together :)

Goodness! I love huckleberries. We live in Utah and go to pick them in Southern Idaho. It was slim pickings this year. Where do yo go to pick yours?

I went to college in Utah, and visiting the mountain trails or bundling up and hiking on a winter's day was always a favorite way to spend time. Thanks for sharing your photos...and enjoy those berries!

I've been spending time with my newborn and missing huckleberry picking. Thank you for the pictures!!! They helped. I will be there next year with my little Alex.
