We took a trip to the tulips, on the other side of our beautiful Washington State. The Washington Bulb Company fields were bursting with happiness.
Would you like to come along with me through the fields? You'll see the ground is wet and muddy - there's a lot of rainfall here.
Rubber boots are a must.
Let's go!
There's field after field of daffodils too!
And the gardens at Roozengaarde are unbelievably stunning.
Now that's some spring happiness isn't it?!
The Washington Bulb Company and Roozengaarde are located in Washington State's Skagit Valley, which is about one hour north of Seattle.
Tips for visiting the fields:
Arrive early. The fields get really busy, but if you arrive right at opening, you'll avoid the lines and much of the crowds.
Bring a warm coat with a hood! The fields can be really breezy and rain is likely.
Wear rubber boots and pack a garbage bag and extra shoes. When you're ready to leave, you can put your muddy boots into the garbage bag and change into your clean shoes.
Set time aside to drive the backroads in the area. The farms and farmhouses are dreamy.
Snow Goose Produce is such a lovely happy sweet little stop. Make sure you do! (Thank you to everyone on Facebook who recommended it to me!)
Oh so beautiful and springy!

Wowzer!! Those are stunning photographs. If it's a rainy, dreary place, then how wonderful that they have the tulips to brighten their days! I think I will revisit this entry often. So gorgeous and cheerful.
Happy Spring from lush, southwestern Ohio!

Beautiful! Every year I say I want to go up there for the tulip festival, but still haven't made it.

Ohhhh, you're in my part of the world! I grew up in oak harbor, wa. My mom used to pick bulbs when i was little and I picked strawberries in skagit valley. Living in North Carolina, I miss it every day!
