My friend, Cheri, made a version of this oil one weekend as a delicious part of a girls weekend breakfast. It's herbaceousness with just a touch of saltiness is so incredibly tasty. It's perfect drizzled atop a plate of toast, fresh greens, and a fried egg, but it's uses are endless. It also makes a great last-minute homemade hostess gift.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons fresh rosemary leaves
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage leaves
4 cloves fresh garlic
2 tsp kosher salt
2 cups extra virgin olive oil
Place herbs, garlic, and salt in a food processor. Pour in a splash of the olive oil. Puree until all ingredients are finely minced. Stir puree into remaining olive oil and pour mixture into a covered container. Keep in refrigerator.
Uses:
Substitute for ordinary oil in salad dressing
Marinade for grilled veggies, seafood, and meat
Toss with pasta for a delicious side dish
Stir-fry with peppers and onions
Perfect for a hostess, teacher, or favorite foodie friend gift
Nice Articel... Tx
